Acolyte
Aqua

Etymological Note: Aqua Benedicta
means "Blessed Water". Aqua literally means "Water" in latin, while
Benedicta is the feminine form of the Latin word "Benedictus" which means
"Blessed".
Angelus (Divine Protection L3+) Required For: Kyrie

Blessing (Divine Protection L5+) Max level: 10 Type: Active,
Level Selectable SP Cost: 24 + 4*Skill Level Target: 1
Ally Range: 9 tiles Cast time: 0 Cast delay: 0 Duration: 40 +
20*Level Effect: Increases STR, DEX and INT of the target by 1 * Skill
Level and removes any Curse effect. If used on Undead property or Demon
family monsters, it halves their STR, DEX and INT, regardless of skill
level. This "Bless Curse" or "Offensive Blessing" will lower the HIT and
MAtk of a monster, but has no effect on ATK. This effect does not work on
Boss Monsters.
Bless Curse combines in strange ways with Quagmire.
Ways that I don't really understand at this point in time.
Cure

(limitation: You can't cure yourself of Silence since you can't cast while

delay: 1 second Duration: 50 + 15*Level Effect: Decreases AGI of
target by 2 + Skill Level and reduces movement speed by 25%. The skill can
fail and success is indicated by the text "Agi down" on the target at the
time of casting. A successful cast will dispel Increase AGI, Adrenaline
Rush, Two Hand Quicken and Spear Quicken. This skill will not work on Boss
monsters. The effects of this skill combine with Quagmire in the form
Agi/2-2+Skill Level.
The formula for success is believed to be
SuccessRate = 50 + Skill Level*3 + (BaseLevel + INT)/5 - Target MDEF where
SuccessRate is expressed as a percentage.
Demon Bane (Divine
Protection L3+) Required For: Signum Crucis (L3+). Max level:
10 Type: Passive Effect: Increases damage against Undead property
and Demon family monsters by 3 points per skill level. Damage ignores DEF
reduction from armor, but not from Vit.
Divine
Protection Required For: Angelus (L3+), Blessing (L5+), Demonbane
(L3+). Max level: 10 Type: Passive Effect: Reduces damage from
Undead property and Demon family monsters by 3 * Skill Level. Damage is
subtracted after DEF reductions.
Heal Required For: Cure
(L2+), Increase Agility (L3+), Sanctuary (L1+, Priest). Max level:
10 Type: Active, Level Selectable SP Cost: 10 + 3*Skill
Level Target: 1 Ally Range: 9 tiles Cast time: 0 Cast delay: 1
Second Duration: Instant Effect: Heals a target's HP for [(BLv +
INT) / 8] * (4 + 8 * Skill Level). When used against Undead property
monsters, it is a holy attack that ignores mDEF and INT, but deals only
half damage (that is, HealValue*ElementModier/2). To use against a
monster, you must shift-click it or turn on /noshift.
Increase AGI
(Heal L3+) Required For: Decrease Agi (L1+). Max level: 10 Type:
Active, Level Selectable SP Cost: 15 + 3*Skill Level Target: 1
Ally Range: 9 tiles Cast time: 1 second Cast delay: 1
second Duration: 40 + 20*Level Effect: Increases AGI of target by 2
+ Skill Level and increases movement speed by 25%. Casting is accompanied
by the "Agi UP" message over the target. Dispels Decrease AGI when cast.
Dispelled by Decrease AGI and Quagmire. A monster or player in the area of
effect of a Quagmire spell cannot receive the benefits of Increase AGI.
Pneuma (Warp Portal L4) Max level: 1 Type: Active SP
Cost: 10 Target: 1 tile Range: 9 tiles Cast time: 0 Cast
delay: 1 second Duration: 10 Effect: Creates a 3x3 tile cloud
(although the animation only appears to cover the center tile!) around the
target tile that blocks all ranged physical attacks. This means that it
also blocks the bow attacks of players, so take care not to prevent any
Hunters or Bow Thiefs in the party from being able to do damage! Monsters
count as being "ranged" if their attack has a range of 4 or more tiles.
Pneuma cannot be cast if it is targetted to overlap an already existing
Pneuma area or a Safety Wall tile. Does not block splash damage or ranged
Skills. Does not negate the Flee reducing affects of having multiple
targets attacking you.
Etymological Note: Pneuma literally means
"Soul" or "Spirit" in Greek.
Ruwach Required For: Lex Divina
(L1, Priest), Teleport (L1) Max level: 1 Type: Active (Magic) SP
Cost: 10 Target: Self Range: Unknown Cast time: 0 Cast delay:
1 second Duration: 12 seconds Range: Unknown Effect: Reveals
Hiding and Cloaking players and monsters within range. Revealed players
and monsters are hit with a holy element magic attack with a strength of
MAtk*1.45.
Etymological Note: Ruwach means "Mind/Spirit/Wind" in
Hebrew.
Signum Crucis (Demonbane L3+) Max level: 10 Type:
Active SP Cost: 35 Target: Unknown Range: Unknown Cast time:
0.5 seconds Cast delay: 2 seconds Duration: Until death Effect:
Reduces the DEF (not vit DEF) of Undead Property and Demon Family monsters
on screen by 10% + 2% * Skill Level. The skill can fail on a monster by
monster basis. The monsters affected are indicated by the sweatdrop
emotion (/swt). It has been said that this is a rare skill that can work
even on a boss monster, but I have no confirmation of this. The effect of
Signum Crucis stacks with the effects of Provoke.
The formula for
success is believed to be SuccessRate = 25 + SkillLevel*2 + BaseLevel -
TargetLevel.
Etymological Note: Signum Crucis means "The Sign of
the Cross" in Latin.
Teleport (Ruwach L1) Required For: Warp
Portal (L2) Max level: 2 Type: Active SP Cost: 11 - Skill
Level Target: Self Cast time: 0 Cast delay: None Duration:
Instant Effect: At level 1, you can teleport to a random spot on the
same map. At level 2, you can also choose to teleport to your save point.
When Teleport is actually cast, a window will appear showing the available
options (including cancel!). You must actually select an option by
clicking or with the up/down arrow keys and pressing enter for the effect
to occur. Once you actually teleport, you will count as having "just
entered the map". This means that Aggressive monsters won't see you for 3
seconds or until you move. It used to be that you had to wait this 3
seconds to recast teleport. This is no longer true. If you cancel the
teleport or just leave the teleport window open, this does not occur.
Warp Portal (Teleport L2) Required For: Pneuma (L4) Max
level: 4 Type: Active SP Cost: 38 - 3*Skill Level Target: 1
tile Range: 9 tiles Cast time: 2 seconds Cast delay: Time of
Casting motion Duration: 25 seconds Catalyst: 1 Blue
Gemstone Effect: Creates a warp portal at the targetted tile after a
destination is selected from a list. This spell cannot be cast under a
monster or player. If anyone steps onto the targetted tile while the
destination is being selected, the spell will fail. After successful
casting, anyone stepping onto the affected tile will be teleported to the
selected destination.
The destinations that may be selected are set
by the use of the /memo command while standing in the desired location and
by your current Save Point. You may not set a memo point while in any
Indoors map (dungeons and inside buildings in cities). If you make a new
Memo Point on a map where you already have a Memo Point, that Memo Point
will be replaced. After filling all 3 possible Memo Points, setting a new
Memo Point will replace the oldest current Memo Point (the bottom one on
the list). The number of Memo Points available to you is equal to the
Skill Level - 1 (therefore, at level 1 you have no memo points available
and can only cast a Warp Portal to your Save Point).
The duration
of a Warp Portal is 5 + 5*Skill Level. No more than 3 Warp Portals cast by
the one caster can be in effect at the same time. If the caster leaves the
map where the portal has been cast, the portal disappears.
Acolyte
Skill Quest With the Comodo patch there is now a Skill that an Acolyte
can gain through a quest. Following is the information on it.
Holy
Light (Acolyte Job L30+ or Monk/Priest): Other Requirements: Give
Cleric (inside the Sanctuary at Prontera, enter the same room where you
become an Acolyte and you will find her, map coordinates 173/23) a 1
Rosary, 1 Opal and 1 Crystal Blue. Max Level: 1 Type: Active
Skill SP Cost: 15 Target: 1 Enemy Range: Magic Attack
Range ATK Type: Holy, Long-range magic attack Cast Time: 2 Seconds
(reduced by Dex) Cast Delay: 0 Effect: Does a single hit with an
MAtk modifier of 125% (modified by the Holy element).

Archer Skill
Quests With the Comodo patch there are now two Skills that an Archer
can gain through quests. Following is the information on
them.
Arrow Crafting (Archer Job L30+ or
Bard/Dancer/Hunter) Other Requirements: Gather 41 Tough scalelike stem,
13 Trunk, 1 Red potion, 20 Resin, 7 Mushroom spore. Talk to Roberto in
Morroc (121,109). Max level: 1 Type: Active SP Cost:
10 Effect: Creates arrows from an item. Different items give different
amounts and types of arrows. See the Items/Arrows page for a full list of
recipes. Cannot be used if above 50% weight.
Charge Arrow (Archer
Job L35+ or Bard/Dancer/Hunter) Other Requirements: Gather 1 Crossbow,
10 Tentacle, 10 Bill of birds, 3 Yoyo tail, 2 Emerald, 36 Banana juice.

Monsters cannot be Frozen. Water and Fire element monsters have a greatly
reduced chance of being Frozen. A Frozen target cannot move for the
duration of the spell (no walking, attacking or skill use), count as
element Water1, have +25% MDef and -50% Def. The Frozen affect is broken
if any damage is caused to the target or the spell Lex Aeterna is used on
the target.
Increase SP Recovery Max level: 10 Type:
Passive Effect: Recovers [(MaxSP/500 + 3)*SLv] SP per 10 consecutive
seconds. Does not work while overweight. Does not work if you are walking.
Is not improved by Magnificat.

Unknown Duration: Unknown Catalyst: 1 Red Gemstone Effect: Has a
(20% + 4%*Skill Level) chance of causing the Stone Curse effect to the
targetted enemy for the duration of the spell. The Stone Curse effect
turns the target into Earth1 Property, gives +25% MDef and -50% Def and
reduces the targets HPs by 1% of MaxHP every 5 seconds (cannot drop below
25% of MaxHP). Boss monsters cannot be Stone Cursed. Lex Aeterna and Steal
cannot be used on a Stone Cursed target.
Thunder Storm (Lightning
Bolt L4+) Required For: Lord of Vermillion (L1+, Wizard), Meteor Storm

until 0 sp Effect: Reduces damage from Physical attacks (punching,
weapons and skills using weapons) by draining SP. Damage reduction is
better and SP lost is higher with higher SP as per the following table:

50%+5%*Skill Level (yes, you move much slower to begin with). The pushcart
can hold 8000 Weight and a maximum of 100 distinct items (some items
stack, so count as only 1 distinct item). Pushcarts must be bought from a
Kafra Employee and there is at least one present in every town and some
may be found in other locations. Cost varies depending on which Kafra
Employee you go to (see the Shops page). If the pushcart is removed, it
disappears and a new one must be bought. Any items in the pushcart at the
time it is removed are not lost, but cannot be retrieved until you buy a
new cart.
Vending (Pushcart L3+) Max level: 10 Type:
Active SP Cost: 30 Duration: Until shop closes Effect: Allows the
character to set up a shop at his current location.
Two windows
will open, one with the items you can sell and one with the shop window.
The items you can sell are those in the characters pushcart, and the
character must have his pushcart equipped. You simply drag and drop items
into the shop window and then set price in the window next to it. Be very
careful to set the correct price! If you stuff up, you will regret it. The
limit on distinct items that can be sold at one time is 2 + Skill Level.
You must also give your shop a name. Once you click "ok" in the shop
window, the shop will finally open.
The items can now be purchased
by players in the same way that they would be bought from an NPC (although
numbers are limited to what you have obviously). Players cannot sell items
to a vending shop, and the discount skill does not apply.
You may
close the shop at any time. It will close automatically if all items are
sold or if the character is killed.
Merchant Skill Quests With
the Comodo patch there are now 3 different Skills that a Merchant can
learn through quests. Following is information on how to get them and what
they do.
Crazy Uproar (Merchant Job 15+ or
Alchemist/Blacksmith): Other Requirements: Give Necko (a guy hiding
between buildings just west of the Kapra chick near south end of Alberta,
map coordinates 83/96) 7 Pearls, 50 Mushroom Spore, 1 Banana Juice. SP
Cost: 8 Cast time: 0 Cast delay: 0 Duration: 300
seconds Effect: Adds 4 Strength.
Change Cart (Merchant Job 30+
or Alchemist/Blacksmith): Other Requirements: Give Charlron (from the
Item Shop in Alberta, you can find him if you head north, map coordinates
119/221) 50 Trunks, 20 Animal Skin, 10 Iron. Type: Active Skill SP
Cost: 40 Effect: Let's you change the appearance of your cart. A "for
fun" skill, but because the appearances you can pick is restricted by
level, you can tell a high level merchant or blacksmith just by looking at
their cart. Level 1-40: Normal cart only. Level 41-65: A Wooden
cart. Level 66-80: Covered cart with flowers and ferns on it. Level
81-90: Wooden cart with a Panda doll on the back. Level 91-99: The
normal cart, but with bigger wheels, a roof and a banner on the
back.
Cart Revolution (Merchant Job 35+ or
Alchemist/Blacksmith): Other Requirements: Give Gershaun (from the boat
in alberta head south past the lookout and then east to find him, map
coordinates 232/106) a Banana Juice to make him start doing business and
he tells you he needs 20 Iron, 30 Sticky Mucus, 20 Fly Wing, 5 Tentacles?
and 2 Grape Juice. If you already have the items he just takes 15 Iron, 25
Sticky Mucus, 20 Fly Wing, 5 Tentacles and 2 Grape Juice. Type: Active

This skill is currently unique in that it applies two
elemental modifiers. The first will always be neutral vs target property.
The second is weapon property vs target property.

30*Level Effect: Toggles the hide effect on the character on/off.
Toggling the hide effect off consumes no sp. Hidden characters cannot
move, attack or use any skill and do not regenerate HP or SP. The hide
affect makes a character invisible to other players and monsters. This
stops skills and spells that are targetted at you from working (those with
casting times fail) and anything attacking you stops (assuming that their
last hit doesn't hit you and reveal you!). Area affect skills and spells
can still hit you. Insects, Demons and Boss monsters are not affected by
the hide affect. If you get hit by anything while hiding, you will be
revealed. Improve Concentration, Ruwach and Sight are all capable of
revealing hidden characters.
Increase Dodge Max level:
10 Type: Passive Effect: Increases flee by 3*Skill Level.
Steal Required For: Hiding (L5+). Max level: 10 Type:

Only items dropped by the monster can be stolen. A successful Steal
attempt will not affect what is dropped when the monster dies. After
success, it is not possible to Steal again from the same monster. Boss
monsters and those affected by the Frozen and Stone Curse effects cannot
be stolen from.
The formula for stealing is believed to be
AdjustedDropRatio = DropRatio*(Dex + 3*Skill Level - MonsterDex + 10)/100
where DropRatio is the percent chance of a particular item being dropped.
If the result of the steal check is lower than the AdjustedDropRatio for
an item, then it is possible that item will be stolen. I assume some
random method decides which item is actually stolen out of the short list
of possible items.

you are overweight (more than 50% of total weight capacity). Can chain use
this skill.
Stone Fling (Thief Job 20+ or
Assassin/Rogue): Other Requirements: Talk to Alcouskou in the
right-hand room of the Thief Guild (moc_prydb1, 154/12. Ask to learn Stone Fling. If you
have 2 Garlet and 2 Scell he will teach you the skill. You probably need
to get Find Stone first as you can't use this skill without stones
(although some monsters in the Comodo maps drop Stone). Type: Active
Skill SP Cost: 2 Target: 1 Enemy Range: 7 Cells ATK Type:
Neutral, ranged, physical Cast Time: 1 second Cast delay: ~1

Requirements: Talk to Alcouskou in the right-hand room of the Thief Guild
(moc_prydb1, 154/12. Ask to
learn Sand Attack. If you have 5 Fine Grit then he will agree to teach
you, but first you must bring him a Leather Bag of Infinity from the
merchant that sells them in Payon. Talk to Bag Seller in Payon Town
(payon, 28/121) and he will tell you to bring him 1 Earthworm Peeling, 1
Cobweb and 1 Cactus Needle. Bring him these and he will give you 1 Leather
Bag of Infinity. It's probably not a good idea to drop this special quest
item on the ground. You may now return to Alcouskou and ask him about Sand
Attack again. As long as you have the Leather Bag of Infinity in your
inventory he will now teach you the skill. Type: Active Skill SP

Assassin

and do not regenerate HP or SP. Insects, Demons and Boss monsters see
through this invisibility.
The Cloaked affect may be cancelled at
any time by using the skill again (no sp cost), by getting hit or by
coming into the area of affect of Improved Concentration, Ruwach or Sight.
Enchant Poison (Envenom L1+) Required For: Poison React (L3+),
Venom Dust (L5+). Max level: 10 Type: Active SP cost:

Melee, Physical Attack Cast time: 0 Cast delay: Unknown Duration:
5 minutes or 1 countered attack Effect: Attempts to counter the first
poison attack made while the skill is active. The counter attack is a
normal hit with an ATK modifier of 100% +30%*Skill Level. The counter
attack has a 50% chance of causing a Poison effect to the victim as well.
Adding levels in this skill gives a passive damage increase to the Venom
Splasher skill of 20%*Skill Level.
Venom Dust (Enchant Poison

Red Gemstone Effect: Creates a poison cloud covering tiles vertically
and horizontally adjacent to target tile. Anything except a Boss entering
the cloud or standing in the cloud receives the Poison effect (thus the
effect is virtually permanent while the cloud persists and a target
remains in the cloud).
Venom Splasher (Poison React L5+, Venom
Dust L5+) Max level: 10 Type: Active SP Cost: 30 + 3*Skill
Level Target: 1 Enemy Range: Melee Range ATK Type: Poison
property, Melee, Physical Attack Cast Time: 1 second Cast Delay:
Unknown Duration: 30 minutes Effect: Turns target into a poison
bomb. Target must be in poisoned status, and have less than 2/3 HP. When
skill is used, a timer appears above the target. If the target is hit
before the timer finishes, then the skill is cancelled. If the skill is
successful, then the target takes a poison property hit with an ATK
modifier of 200%+20%*Skill Level, and surrounding 3x3 area takes 25%
splash damage. In addition, the Poison React skill passively adds
20%*Skill Level to the ATK modifier. Finally, weapon elements and weapon
cards do not improve the damage.
The Assassin
Arsenal Katars
Katar class weapons are a rather special weapon
class that is only availabl to Assassins. They give CRITICAL*2, which
makes it possible for Assassins with high LUK to get a 100% critical rate!
The also give an off-hand attack with every normal attack that does 1% +
2%*(Double Slash Skill Level) of the damage done by the main attack. This
off-hand attack will critical, hit or miss depending on what the main
attack does. On the minus side, Katars always require two hands to use, so
you will not be able to use a shield or another weapon with
one.
Dual Wielding Style
Assassins have the unique ability
of being able to wield a weapon in each hand. This means 2 x One-Hand
Axes, 2 x Daggers, 2 x Swords, 1 Axe + 1 Dagger, 1 Axe + 1 Sword or 1
Dagger + 1 Sword.
While dual wielding, the damage from each weapon
is reduced. The damage from the Right-Hand weapon is calculated as 50% +
10%*Right Hand Mastery Skill Level, while the damage of the Left-Hand
weapon is calculated as 30%+10%*Left Hand Mastery Skill Level. If the
right-hand weapon is a Dagger, then that weapon benefits from the Double
Attack skill as well.
The speed of each weapon is also changed. The
modifier to the number of attacks per period of time is ((Right Handed
Speed + Left Handed Speed)/2 * 1.5). Each weapon class has it's own speed
modifier. For a Dagger it is 0.5. For a Sword it is 0.55. For an Axe it is
0.625. You then divide the WeaponDelay of the Right Handed weapon by the
Modifier to give a WeaponDelay for both weapons altogether (see
Mechanics/Substats for the ASpd calculation itself). That is
WeaponDelay/Modifier.
While Daggers have the worst modifier, they
are still the fastest of the dual wielded weapons and benefit from Double
Slash (although only on the Right Hand!). With the current weapons
available in iRO, this makes them the most popular weapon to Dual-Wield by
far.
There is a special rule with regards to card modifiers and
elemental properties on weapons. The effects of cards apply only to the
right-hand weapon. The effects of an element on the left-hand do not apply
to the right-hand. This means that you should use an elemental weapon on
the right hand and a carded weapon in your left hand or carded weapons in
both hands to get the best effect.
Weapon and Shield
Style
An assassin still has the ability to fight with a shield and
weapon. While you gain none of the offensive benefits of the other styles,
a carded shield can help at the extremes of physical tanking. Sacrificing
your damage done to reduce the damage taken while tanking keeps the
healing requirements manageable and allows a party to go to harder places
than it otherwise would.
Tanking is when you attract the wrath of
all monsters while another character hits them from range. Archers,
Hunters, Magicians and Wizards tend to be able to outdamage an Assassin of
equal or lesser level, but are quite inferior when it comes to dodging
blows and soaking damage.
At the least, a +4 Buckler of Athena
(Ambernite card) will add 10 Defense. This can easily be enough to put an
Assassin over 50 Defense, reducing overall damage by 17%. With anti-family
cards, that reduce the damage from a particular family of monsters by 30%,
you can cut the damage you take per hit by almost 38%.

Power Thrust

counter attack is a normal attack that ignores DEF and has bonuses of HIT
+20 and CRITICAL*2.
Peco Peco Riding (Endure L1+) Required For:

Mounted characters gain an additional 25% walking speed (cumulative with
Agi UP). Mounted characters also attack at half the normal speed, but this
penalty can be reduced or offset by levels in Cavalier Mastery. While
mounted, the size modifier of spear vs medium size is 100% instead of 75%.
The PecoPeco must be hired from Peco Peco Breeder in Prontera (55/350) at
a cost of 2500z. If the character dismounts (by clicking on the "OFF"
button in the equipment window), then the PecoPeco disappears and a new

Aspersio can also be
used as a weak attack. Using shift-click, you can target an Undead
property or Demon family monster and inflict 40 points of Holy property
damage that ignores all defenses. Against other kinds of monsters, it does
no damage, but consumes the Holy Water and SP anyway.
Etymological
Note: Aspersio is literally means "Sprinkle" in Latin. In the Catholic
church, the sprinkling of water (holy water?) is done with an Aspergillum
during a liturgical service.
Benedictio Sanctissimi Sacramenti

Demon family monsters in the area of effect. It requires one Priest or
Acolyte in the tile to the left and right of the caster to
work.
Etymological Note: Benedictio Sanctissimi Sacramenti is
translated by Gravity as meaning "Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament".
That seems to be right. A benediction is the invocation of a blessing. The
Blessed Sacrament generally refers to the blessed wine and bread used to
signify the blood and flesh of Jesus (as Jesus himself did it during his
Last Supper). Consuming the Blessed Sacrament during the Communion is
supposed to be a symbolic act that brings you closer to God.
Gloria (Kyrie Eleison L4+, Magnificat L3+) Required For:

Etymological Note: Gloria literally means "Glory" in
Latin. A "Gloria in Excelsis" is a Catholic liturgical hymn having the
verse form of the Psalms. A "Gloria Patri" (literally "Glory be to the
father" is a 2 verse liturgical
expression of praise to the Trinity. It seems that the Catholic church
likes to praise God, as well they might.
Impositio
Manus Required For: Aspersio (L3), Suffragium (L2+). Max level:
5 Type: Active SP Cost: 10 + 3*Skill Level Target: 1

effect to the target. This effect increases the targets minimum and
maximum weapon ATK (even with bare hand) by 5*Skill Level. This means the
damage is modified by Size and reduced by DEF (both Armor and VIT). Can be
used on self. You can change weapons at any time during the effect of this
spell without disprupting it. When a second instance is cast on a target,
then it will replace the first instance.
Etymological Note:
Impositio Manus roughly means "A laying on of hands", which has been a way
of giving a blessing for a long time indeed. Impositio is derived from
Impono which means "to put/lay/impose on", while Manus literally means
"Hand" in Latin.
Increase SP Recovery Required For:
Resurrection (L4+). Max level: 10 Type: Passive Effect: Recovers
[(MaxSP/500 + 3)*SLv] SP per 10 consecutive seconds. Does not work while

Kyrie Eleison (Angelus L2+) Required For: Gloria

seconds Cast delay: 2 seconds Duration: 120 seconds Effect:
Creates a Kyrie Eleison effect on the target character. This effect will
block MaxHPofTarget*(10% + 2%*Skill Level) damage or 5 + [Skill Level/2]
hits, whichever is reached first. Damage in excess of the amount blocked
will transfer through and count as a hit of lowered damage. Hits are only
assessed when a blow would normally land and not for every swing by a
monster (despite showing a "Guard" graphic with every swing for the
effected player and a miss for every other player). Multi-attack skills
(Blitz Beat for one), only count one hit for purposes of number of hits
and damage blocked. Any magic attack will do full damage to the affected
target, while still counting against the maximum damage and number of hits
of Kyrie Eleison. Casting Holy Light on someone with this effect will
cancel it entirely. When a second instance is cast on a target, then it
will replace the first instance.
Etymological Note: Kyrie Eleison
comes by way of Middle English, Medieval Latin and Late Latin from the
Greek phrase "Kyrie EleEson" which literally meant "Lord, have mercy".
Seems that the lord is on your side when you use this skill. A Kyrie
Eleison is a short liturgical prayer (Catholics love their liturgies) that
begins with "Lord, have mercy".
Lex Aeterna (Lex Divina

Grand Cross in a 9x9 area around the targetted tile (see picture). Any
Demon family and Undead property monsters entering the area of the effect
suffer Holy property damage of MAtk*Skill Level per wave. Waves occur
approximately every 3 seconds and each wave appears to hit Skill Level
times. Therefore, there is a certain maximum number of waves than any one
monster can be affected during the duration of the spell (there will be
less waves if the monster enters late or is knocked back out for any
reason).
As it creates an effect on the ground, Magnus Exorcismus
cannot stack with other ground effect skills (eg. Pneuma and Safety
Wall).
Etymological Note: Magnus Exorcismus means "Great Exorcism"
and comes from the Latin word "Magnus" (literally "great, large, much" and some form of "Exorcizare" (meaning
"to bind my oath, adjure", specifically to adjure an evil spirit).

Gemstone Effect: Creates a 5x5 area sanctuary effect around the
targetted tile. Characters and non-undead/demon monsters within the
sanctuary are healed (see amount below) once a second unless at max HP.
Undead Property and Demon Family monsters take Holy property damage equal
to half the sanctuary's heal, rounded down and are knocked back out of the
effect each time.
The maximum number of valid targets is equal to
3+Skill Level. The spell affecting one player or monster once is counted
as 1 target. If it affects a player or monster more than once, then it
will count as a valid target more than once. If the maximum number of
valid targets is exceeded, the spell will come to an end prematurely.
Valid targets are determined by the following priority: 1/ Player with
Current HPs less than Max HPs. 2/ Non-Undead Property/Demon Family
monsters with Current HPs less than Max HPs. 3/ Undead Property and
Demon Family monsters.
Multiple Sanctuaries can be stacked on each
other and so long as the maximum number of valid targets is not exceeded,
each will last to their full duration.
Note: Sanctuary is the only
means of healing the Emperium in the War of Emperium battles. While it is
a skill that is by no means essential to have in a WoE priest, have one
ore more priests with a high level of the skill in a guild could be very
useful.

equal to 100 - (MonsterINT/2 + MonsterVIT/3 + MonsterLUK/10) %. A
successful blinding will be accompanied by the usual chirping sound. The
duration of the Blind effect believed to be 30 * (100 - (MonsterINT +
MonsterVIT)/2)/100 seconds. One Blind effect cannot overlap another.
Suffragium (Impositio Manus L2+) Max level: 3 Type:
